APC Sparta Shield® is a next-generation, two-component polyaspartic coating engineered for rapid curing, excellent UV resistance and fast return to service. Designed, formulated and manufactured by All Purpose Coatings in Australia, it is optimised for demanding exterior applications while also being suitable for selected internal areas where minimal downtime is important.

Its high-solids formulation combines durability, chemical resistance and a high-gloss finish, making it particularly suited to exterior concrete coating systems exposed to UV, weather and traffic.

Typical Applications:
Ideal for driveways, pathways, entryways, pool surrounds, courtyards, garages, workshops, service stations and other exterior concrete coating applications. It can also be used in suitable commercial and industrial interior environments where rapid curing and a quick return to service are required.

Coverage / Consumption:
Approximately 3–8m²/L, depending on the system, application method and substrate porosity.

Mixing Ratio:
1:1 by volume – Part A : Part B. 

Curing / Return to Service:
Typical performance at suitable conditions includes approximately 1 hour tack-free, 5 hours for light foot traffic, 24 hours for vehicle traffic and approximately 3 days for full chemical cure. Actual cure times will vary with site and environmental conditions.

Application:
Suitable for roller or brush application over correctly prepared substrates. Concrete should be mechanically prepared, clean, dry and free from contaminants before coating. Due to its rapid cure, Sparta Shield® is best suited to experienced applicators who can manage its shorter working window.

Important:
Sparta Shield® is not recommended over APC EPO100T® Plain Coat or Metallic Marble® systems. Its rapid cure does not provide sufficient time for these systems to fully glass out; APC recommends slower-curing alternatives such as Sparta60® for these applications.
